A Los Angeles jury will begin deliberating Tuesday in the trial into the 2012 death of unarmed 35-year old Alesia Thomas. The jury will determine whether white police officer Mary O’Callaghan used excessive force when she helped arrest Thomas and repeatedly kicked her in the groin and chest, which resulted in the African American woman’s death. Meanwhile, in New York a 50-year old African American man died Sunday after police shot him with a stun gun. Richard Gregory Davis was a father of six, a grandfather of 11, and a former Marine. teleSUR
