Tensions continue in some areas of Mexico following Sunday's midterm elections. In the southern states of Guerrero and Oaxaca polling stations were the scene of pitched battles between protesters, who were calling for a boycott of the elections due to widespread corruption and impunity and in solidarity with the 43 missing Ayotzinapa students, and police and the military.
