ಮೈಸೂರು-ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ನಡುವೆ ವಿದ್ಯುತ್ ಚಾಲಿತ ರೈಲು ಸಂಚಾರ ಆರಂಭಿಸಲು ಇದ್ದ ಅಡೆತಡೆ ನಿವಾರಣೆಯಾಗಿದೆ. ನವೆಂಬರ್ ಅಂತ್ಯದ ವೇಳೆಗೆ 220 ಕೆವಿ ಹೊಸ ವಿದ್ಯುತ್ ಮಾರ್ಗ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣವಾಗಲಿದ್ದು, ರೈಲು ಸಂಚಾರಕ್ಕೆ ಅನುಕೂಲವಾಗಲಿದೆ.
KPTCL will complete the installation of a 220-kV line to feed power to railway track between Bengaluru and Mysuru. New line will complete by November end that Railway will introduce Mainline Electric Multiple Unit (MEMU) trains between Mysuru and Bengaluru.
