He was born on 19 February 1908 in Hyderabad, India. His family has a deeply rooted scientific tradition and is a descendant of the Arab scholar Mahdûm Mehâimî (d. 835/1432). His father was Abu Muhammad Halilullah, one of the chief mufti of the Haydarâbâd Order. After receiving the first information from his father, he completed his religious education in Câmia Nizâmiyye and received the title of “mevlevi kammil olan, which is equivalent to a master's degree. Then, he graduated from # Osmaniye University Faculty of Law and completed his master degree in the field of state law. In 1929, the Assembly of Hanafi scholars was founded to publish the works of ihyâi’l-maârifi’n-Nu‘mâniyye'nin participated in the establishment.
Muhammad Hamidullah was known for his humility, kindness, piety, and not giving value to world blessings and money and he never married. He wouldn't charge royalties for his work. Hz. For his work on the life of the Prophet, he accepted the highest degree of crescent, which the Pakistani State deemed worthy of him, but donated the prize to the Institute of Islamic Studies in Islamabad; nor did King Faisal receive the monetary prize. Republic of Turkey who helped him develop the publication of the Turkish written literature appreciation and thanks so by the Ministry of Education document, by a cultural foundation in Istanbul, "Turkish National Culture Service Gift of Honor" award is given. Mohammed Hamidullah knew Urdu, Hindi, English, French, German, Italian, Russian, Arabic, Persian and Turkish. In the Masjid al-Nabawi, Quran recitation Hasan b. In the presence of Ibrahim al-Shair, he recited the Qur'an from beginning to end and took an icâzetnâme.
