Hal Shashthi 2021: Shashthi Tithi of Krishna Paksha of Bhadrapada is celebrated as Halchath or Harchhath. This time Halchath worship and fasting is being celebrated on Saturday, August 28. It is also known as Pinni Chhath, Khamar Chhath, Radhan Chhath, Chandan Chhath, Tin Chhath, Tinni Chhath, Lahi Chhath, Halchath, Harchhath and Balram Jayanti. Halashti fast is observed to commemorate the birth anniversary of Lord Krishna's elder brother Balarama. The main weapon of Balarama is the plow and the musal. That is why he is also called by the name of Haldhar and the name of this festival is named after him.
Hal Shashthi 2021: भाद्रपद के कृष्ण पक्ष की षष्ठी तिथि को हलछठ या हरछठ के रूप में मनाया जाता है। इस बार हलछठ पूजन व व्रत 28 अगस्त दिन शनिवार को मनाया जा रहा है। इसे पीन्नी छठ, खमर छठ, राधन छठ, चंदन छठ, तिनछठी, तिन्नी छठ, ललही छठ, हलछठ, हरछठ व बलराम जयंती के रूप में भी जाना जाता है। भगवान श्रीकृष्ण के बड़े भाई बलराम जी के जन्मोत्सव के उपलक्ष्य में हलषष्ठी व्रत किया जाता है। बलराम का प्रधान शस्त्र हल और मुसल है। इसलिए उन्हें हलधर के नाम से भी पुकारा जाता है और उन्ही के नाम पर इस पर्व का नाम हलषष्ठी पड़ा है। वीडियो में जानें हलषष्ठी के दिन पसहर चावल खाने का महत्व ।
