हिंदू पंचांग के अनुसार प्रत्येक माह अमावस्या तिथि पड़ती है, जिसे अलग-अलग नामों से जाना जाता है और इनका विशेष महत्व भी होता है।। भाद्रपद माह में पड़ने वाली अमावस्या को पिठोरी अमावस्या कहा जाता है। इस बार पिठोरी अमावस्या का व्रत शनिवार 27 अगस्त 2022 को रखा जाएगा। कई जगह पिठोरी अमावस्या को कुशोत्पतिनी अमावस्या या पोला पिठोरा भी कहा जाता है। पिठोरी अमावस्या के दिन मं दुर्गा की पूजा की जाती है।
