00:00 This weekend, the former longtime TNT point guard Jimmy Alapag announced that he is now a member of the coaching staff of Mike Brown in Sacramento Kings.
00:09 After this, the former mentor of Alapag, Tab Baldwin, reached out for support.
00:15 Here is the story of Rafael Bandayrel.
00:17 A good news was brought by Jimmy Alapag on his social media last Saturday.
00:24 The former floor general of TNT, Tab Baldwin, announced that he is now a member of the coaching staff of Stockton Kings in the G League.
00:31 He is also the current player development trainer of Sacramento Kings.
00:36 Tab Baldwin was very happy with this news.
00:39 He was greeted by a decorated basketball tactician for his support to his former assistant coach in the Philippines.
00:48 Yeah, I'm very happy because I know that Jimmy is inspired to that and he worked really hard for that.
00:54 And I'm sure that he sees that just as another step toward even greater things.
01:00 So, you know, it's great to watch Jimmy achieve in the coaching profession after he achieved so much as a player.
01:08 And I'm really, really happy for him.
01:12 Baldwin is also sure that this is just the first step in Alapag's career as an NBA coach.
01:20 Jimmy is very knowledgeable in basketball. He always was as a player and as a coach.
01:26 He has a tremendous work ethic and one of the best I've ever been around.
01:30 And he's a great communicator and he loves the idea and the role of leading others.
01:36 And you know, when you put those attributes together and combine them, you have the makings of a very good coach.
01:43 And I think that this is just the start for him, really.
01:48 After Alapag retired from the scene of the International Basketball in 2015,
01:54 he joined the National Basketball Team as an assistant coach of Baldwin in the Philippines.
02:00 Meanwhile, as a part of the staff of Coach Mike Brown in Sacramento,
02:05 Alapag will be coaching the All-Stars, Sen. Iron Fox and Damontas Sabonis.
