00:00 season objectives, Manchester City, you know, treble winners, how much, you know,
00:05 they can't really do much more of it than winning the quadruple now.
00:09 How do they sort of go about this and sort of not get carried away
00:13 with their achievements last year? They've got to, you know, try and, as hard as it might be,
00:17 start fresh, clean slate and just sort of go again.
00:22 You're right. It's kind of impossible to improve on last season,
00:25 really, unless they win the EFL Cup as well.
00:29 I mean, they've already lost one trophy, haven't they, in the Community Shield.
00:32 So yeah, they've still got another six up for grabs, technically,
00:35 even if I don't think we massively count, well, certainly one of them.
00:38 They've obviously got the World Club Cup as well to factor into things.
00:43 But I think for City, look, it's very difficult for anyone to stop Pep Guardiola's side,
00:49 win a game over 38 games in a Premier League season.
00:51 I think cup competitions are always uncertain. I think if they could win another Champions League,
00:55 that would be, you know, fantastic for Guardiola, for his legacy,
00:58 and for how we talk with as much the City team as perhaps the greatest ever in the history of English football.
01:03 I think that'd be really significant.
01:04 But I think the interesting thing for me going into the season is how he's going to continue to develop players,
01:09 how the likes of Julian Alvarez is going to continue his development, Rico Lewis is going to continue.
01:15 I think that, I mean, I touched on it earlier,
01:17 but this kind of move towards six or towards four centre-backs almost,
01:21 and how is that going to impact them?
01:22 Are they going to be kind of better defensively in this season than in previous years?
01:25 I think there's a possibility of that.
01:27 And I'm interested to see Erling Haaland.
01:30 I mean, I think he'll still score a lot of goals,
01:33 but could he potentially become a bit more involved in the build-up play this season?
01:38 I think that's one interesting tactical aspect of it to develop.
01:40 But look, I expect City to win the league. I expect City to win a cup.
01:45 The Champions League is, you know, it's always a very difficult one to win,
01:49 obviously, and there's every chance they go and retain their title.
01:53 But we'll have to see in that.
01:54 But I still think this is going to be an absolutely fantastic team from City.
01:57 And it's important that they avoid too many injuries,
02:00 which they didn't have too much of last season.
02:01 But if they do that, then yeah, I certainly think they'll be on for the league
02:05 and at least one cup maybe.
