00:00 I'll let you start here.
00:04 What is your current read and take away from the Daryl Morey, James Harden standoff?
00:10 It's very interesting too, because there's a couple levels to this, right?
00:14 Because you see some beat writers in Philadelphia say, well, look, they never had a handshake
00:18 agreement.
00:19 They never talked about getting a max contract.
00:21 That was never the case of their Sixers from their point of view, sort of dumbfounded of
00:25 why James Harden would be saying this here.
00:27 But from us looking from the outside in Harden the previous year, it takes a little bit less
00:32 so they can sign some free agents, wink, wink.
00:34 I'm going to pay on the back end here and then realize like, oh no, what are we doing
00:37 here?
00:38 We can't pay you $200 million for the next four years because we're not even sure after
00:41 one year, you're even going to be an effective player anymore and what we're going to get
00:44 out of you.
00:45 And I understand that.
00:46 So somebody is not telling the truth on this side of it.
00:49 Now, granted, if you want to take a look at Daryl Morey, who loves James Harden, who had
00:53 him in Houston, who got him back out of Brooklyn for the Philadelphia 76ers.
00:57 They mesh their basketball viewpoint is basically the same.
01:01 Or are we going to trust Kevin or excuse me, Kevin Durant, James Harden, excuse me, going
01:06 back to OKC days, right?
01:08 Well, he didn't want to be there.
01:09 So he went to Houston.
01:10 He didn't want to be in Houston.
01:11 He went to Brooklyn.
01:12 Then he wanted to be a Sixer.
01:13 Now he doesn't want to be a 76er.
01:14 So who actually is trusting here on the backdrop between James Harden and Daryl Morey?
01:18 Who is actually lying?
01:20 If you put it up to a public opinion, it's probably more likely to say James Harden is
01:24 lying because when you're back into a corner, Kevin, you are going to say whatever you want
01:29 and need to to cause enough drama to get your way.
01:33 So I can't hate James Harden, even if he's lying right now.
01:35 He's doing what he has to to try to get out of Philadelphia.
