00:00 On Friday, FIBA Basketball World Cup is being held where the Philippines is one of the three host countries of the tournament.
00:07 If you are one of those who are planning to watch the games of the GILAS Pilipinas National Team,
00:12 here are all the things you need to know. Let's watch this.
00:16 If you are planning to watch the GILAS Pilipinas live and in person in their campaign for the 2023 FIBA Basketball World Cup,
00:26 you probably have a lot of questions about this. But don't worry teammates, we are here to answer those questions.
00:34 I am Rafael Bandayrel of PTV Sports and here are all the things you need to know.
00:40 First of all, what are the components that our national team will face?
00:45 As the primary host country in Group A of the GILAS Pilipinas,
00:50 they have the Dominican Republic led by Carl Anthony Towns, Italy led by Simon Fontechio and Nico Mannion,
01:00 and Angola led by Bruno Fernando.
01:03 It's exciting! We asked Coach Chotreyes and some of our favorite GILAS stars how confident they are.
01:11 As you know, our opponents are strong. They were already operating at a huge disadvantage in size and experience.
01:20 So we are trying to find any small advantage we can.
01:23 We were together in 2014 and we are still together now.
01:28 But talent-wise, I feel like the guys are more talented now.
01:34 The home crowd is a big factor. It's a big boost for our confidence.
01:42 I hope we can fulfill our role and give a good game.
01:49 This is a rare occasion in my life.
01:54 I'm here and we all know that this is a rare occasion for the World Cup home court.
02:03 I'm just enjoying this moment. I cherish it.
02:07 In their many years of international competitions,
02:11 GILAS Pilipinas is used to playing on the opponent's territory.
02:15 But this year, we have the home court advantage.
02:19 President Alpanlilio believes that the Philippines will break the all-time attendance record of FIBA,
02:28 which stands at 32,616.
02:31 The Philippine Arena has a capacity of 55,000,
02:35 so there's no doubt that the Philippines can break that record.
02:38 Yes, I think we're really confident that we'll surpass that.
02:41 In fact, I want to see if we can reach the 50,000 mark.
02:46 I don't know if Com Willie will agree to increase our attendance compared to PBA.
02:51 But Com Willie, thanks for all the support.
02:54 But I think we want to achieve the 50,000 mark.
02:59 But of course, that won't be possible if you're not there.
03:03 And because of that, this is probably the next question.
03:06 How much is the ticket?
03:08 If you have a budget and you really want to see our national team up close,
03:13 the price of the Gilas Day Pass in the VIP section is P25,699.
03:19 Or the place closest to the court.
03:21 But don't worry, because those are not the only available sections.
03:25 General admission is also open for P999 only.
03:30 Here's the whole price list of tickets in the Philippine Arena.
03:34 Meanwhile, here's the list of games to be played in the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
03:39 Tickets can be purchased online at ticketnet.com or at all ticketnet outlets in Metro Manila.
03:45 Now, let's say you're already full and you have a ticket.
03:50 You'll probably think of how to get to the Philippine Arena.
03:54 There are three ways.
03:55 You can commute, bring a car.
03:58 But the easiest and hassle-free way is to follow the free shuttle services provided by the SBP.
04:05 Here's FIBA Deputy Event Director Erica D. for the details of the pickup points for free rides.
04:11 We have identified 12 areas, 12 pickup points.
04:16 And that would be Cloverleaf, Ayala Mall, 1 Ayala, Trinoma, PITX, Mall of Asia, Araneta City,
04:27 SM Clark, BGC Market Market, SM North EDSA, SM Mega Mall, SM Baliwag, and SM Pangpanga.
04:36 But the fun is not yet over.
04:41 Aside from the games to be played, live performances will also be given by Ben & Ben, The Don,
04:47 and Asia's Pop Star, Sarah Geronimo.
04:50 What are your teammates waiting for?
04:52 Let's support the Philippines in their efforts for the 2023 FIBA Basketball World Cup.
04:58 I'm Rafael Bandayrel of PTV Sports.
05:01 Fight, Philippines!
05:02 Puso!
