00:00 Even before President Biden took office in 2021, people were worried about his age, and
00:05 he's only getting older.
00:06 However, Vice President Kamala Harris recently appeared on CBS News and attempted to assuage
00:11 those concerns and explain why the GOP is now attacking her.
00:15 She was asked about several comments made by Republican candidates, ones that insinuated
00:20 that if Biden was impeached or must step down due to his health, that would be the most
00:23 dangerous thing for the country, as Vice President Harris would be in the wings waiting to take
00:28 over.
00:29 Harris responded by listing the accomplishments of the administration so far, but interviewer
00:33 Margaret Brennan pressed, asking specifically how she responds to the attacks on herself.
00:38 Here's how Harris responded.
00:40 "Listen, this is not new.
00:42 There's nothing new about that.
00:44 They feel the need to attack because they're scared that we will win based on the merit
00:53 of the work that Joe Biden and I and our administration has done."
00:58 Harris was asked recently during an interview with the Associated Press if she would be
01:01 ready if anything happened to President Biden.
01:04 She responded in the affirmative, adding, "I'm answering your hypothetical, but Joe
01:08 Biden is going to be fine, so that is not going to come to fruition."
