00:05 correspondent Hassan Minaj hosted the annual White House Correspondents Dinner
00:08 in Washington DC. This year was notable in that the president was not in
00:12 attendance, a fact which Minaj highlighted. The leader of our country is
00:17 not here. And that's because he lives in Moscow. It is a very long flight. It'd be
00:23 hard for Vlad to make it. Vlad can't just make it on a Saturday. It's a Saturday. I
00:26 was cracking up at this one because I was there. Yeah, you heard me. I attended
00:31 the White House Correspondents Dinner and I vlogged about it. Check out my
00:34 vlog, youtube.com/shiraliza. But back to the story. Hassan killed it. And it was a
00:40 hard job. I mean, roasting the media and the president is not easy, including at a
00:46 White House Correspondents Dinner that nobody wanted to go to. Because
00:49 traditionally this dinner is one where the president attends and a ton of
00:52 celebrities, and it's all in good fun where everyone just roasts each other.
00:56 But this year it was a bit awkward. Many were wondering who was even going to
01:00 attend and how Minaj was gonna approach the situation considering the president
01:04 was not going to be in attendance. And Minaj let the president have it and also
01:09 all of the media. You guys have to be more perfect now more than ever because
01:14 you are how the president gets his news. So that's why you got to be on your A
01:20 game. You got to be twice as good. You can't make any mistakes because when one
01:25 of you messes up he blames your entire group. And now you know what it feels
01:31 like to be a minority. And where was Trump you might ask? Well he was actually
01:36 in Harrisburg Pennsylvania where he was having his own counter programming. A
01:39 rally celebrating his first 100 days. And they're sitting and they're wishing in
01:49 Washington. They're watching right now. They're watching and they would love to
01:54 be with us right here tonight. Because what better way to celebrate journalism
01:58 in the First Amendment than to ignore all the journalists that make it happen.

02:15 As you can see I exhausted my palette of yellow and oranges. And while the dinner
02:23 is traditionally as I mentioned a light-hearted roast it is also a
02:26 celebration and reminder of all the hard work that journalists do. So what did you
