00:00 you're bored of flipping a bottle for the water bottle challenge, or putting
00:03 everything you own on for the hundred layer challenge, then the get out
00:06 challenge inspired by the movie Get Out may or may not be something worth trying.
00:10 The horror movie Get Out is about an interracial couple played by Allison
00:13 Williams as Rose and Daniel Kaluuya as Chris, who have reached the meet the
00:18 parents phase. After that, it gets a lot creepier. Members of our staff think that
00:22 the movie is awesome, but I am too chicken to go to any horror movie and
00:25 spend most of the time with my head in my sweater like this. So I'm just gonna
00:31 be sticking to watching the Get Out challenge, which sprung from a moment in
00:34 the movie where Chris steps out in the middle of the night with the first smoke
00:37 and encounters Walter running full speed at him before making a quick turn. And
00:40 people are using this moment in the movie as an opportunity to run straight
00:44 at the camera and then at the very last minute just veer off to the side. Twitter
00:47 user LBJ Sherman 23 attempts the challenge and it looks like this. And
00:51 even NBA MVP Stephen Curry has tried his hand at it saying, "Trying to escape the
00:56 sunken place #getout." He even makes running full speed at a camera look
01:01 good. Not every attempt at this unusual challenge has gone well, and sometimes I
01:05 think that we just watch challenges in the hopes of people failing. Jalen Scott
01:09 calls this the Get Out challenge gone wrong. Yeah buddy, there was a wall right
01:12 there. Or this one by TyreseWeb1 which looks like they put a Walmart to good
01:17 use. Seriously, was no one paying attention during physics at school. It's
01:20 called momentum. Although I can't really complain because what's come of it is
01:24 completely hilarious. But my absolute favorite fail of the Get Out challenge
01:27 goes to Joy Miller with her ever hip mom attempting the challenge. Joy posted the
01:32 caption, "My mom tried doing the Get Out challenge at work. Oh my god, I'm dead."
