00:36 that go down? Are people tweeting it? Or are people just in the hospital and they're
00:40 getting notes from the police? Like how did this all happen? What the cartridges
00:44 taste like was first played around with by Jeff Gertzman, a game journalist with
00:48 a bizarre appetite apparently. While checking out the new Nintendo Switch
00:51 console, he decided to just shove the cartridge right in there. He tweeted, "I
00:56 put that Switch cart in my mouth and I'm not sure what those things are made of,
00:59 but I can still taste it. Do not try this at home." And then Nintendo actually
01:03 admitted that they made the cards taste foul because they wanted to avoid the
01:06 possibility of accidental ingestion and keep the game card away from young
01:09 children. A bittering agent has also been applied to the game card. It is non-toxic,
01:14 but please don't try this at home, or in public, or at all. Once this totally weird
01:18 trend got on, the editor of Snocktoku put aside tasting bizarre things and instead
01:22 tried a cartridge and had this to say about it. "But does it taste bad? Oh, oh God!
01:30 Oh my God! Oh, it really tastes... oh geez!" And as you can imagine, this is easy to
01:39 make fun of. Josh Thomas tweets, "Games Media has licked Switch cards to taste
01:43 them, but I challenged them to lick the wall outlet the system plugs into." And
01:50 since people are ridiculous, let's take a look at others who decided to taste
