00:00 Today might be one of the most important days in our country.
00:03 A day that we really celebrate a special figure in all of our lives.
00:07 A day that we will remember, maybe forever.
00:11 It's National Penguin Awareness Day.
00:14 What's up?
00:15 What's new, got that?
00:18 Oh my god.
00:20 Did you guys know penguins exist?
00:22 Were you aware?
00:23 Because today is the inauguration of the president, but also penguins.
00:28 Am I right?
00:29 Penguins.
00:31 Penguins are found in Antarctica, South Africa, New Zealand, Chile, Peru, the Falkland Islands,
00:35 and the Galapagos Islands.
00:37 So if you've seen a penguin and you weren't in any of those places, you were probably
00:41 at a zoo.
00:42 These cute little birds can't fly, but they can swim real well, and they're 24/7 fancy.
00:47 Little tuxedos.
00:50 Macaroni penguins have the highest population, while Galapagos penguins are endangered, with
00:54 between 6,000 and 15,000 penguins still going strong.
00:58 Overall, penguin populations have decreased by 80% in certain areas, which is not cool.
01:03 Like literally not cool.
01:05 Global warming joke.
01:06 Anyway, in honor of the penguins, we've included a link in the description where you can adopt
01:10 a penguin.
01:11 I mean, not like literally, you're not gonna like get a penguin, but your donation will
01:16 help the legislation that would regulate the greenhouse gas emissions, and it'll protect
01:20 their habitat from being oil drilled.
01:23 Tell us in the comments what other animals should have an awareness day, and for more
