This hotel just got exposed for giving all their guests the power to open any room. You heard right, every guest was given a master key.

00:00 the place you're staying at looks like the Bates Motel, you shouldn't be
00:02 surprised when something creepy happens.
00:04 "Why she wouldn't even harm a fly."
00:08 While on a road trip, Chris Taylor and his buddy stopped at the
00:11 Roadway Inn in Gallup, New Mexico. In the middle of the night, someone just opened
00:15 the door to their hotel room. "Last night we're laying in bed and somebody decides
00:21 just to walk right into our hotel room." The motel lady told them that they'd
00:25 accidentally given this person a master key that unlocks all the doors. So the
00:29 next morning they tried their own key in the same way. And sure enough, the key
00:32 opened every door in the motel. "We did a little bit of research ourselves to see
00:37 well what if they're all master keys?"
00:42 I've actually always wondered about this in hotels. I'm like, I don't have the
00:52 balls to like try my key in someone else's room, but like who's gonna do
00:56 that? This video has been viewed about 4 million times since it was posted
01:00 Saturday, which makes it a viable trend for us to cover. Choice Hotels, which
01:04 owns the Roadway Inn, left a comment on the video which reads, "Thank you for
01:08 bringing this to our attention. We have contacted the hotel and determined that
01:11 there was a malfunction in their key system. They have taken immediate action
01:14 to address this." There's a glitch in the Matrix. That is from a movie called The
01:18 Matrix. Some comments. "Jean a creative dude." I wonder if Jean's a creative dude.
01:25 You think? "A lot of hotels do this. I once lost the key to mine and used an
01:29 Apple iTunes gift card to open the door." I would believe that the technology that
01:33 Apple's using even in their gift cards is better than hotel room technology.
01:38 "Tet rules, Jam. I have never been to America, but my whole life, every movie,
01:42 documentary, or crime show I've watched has taught me to never ever sleep in one
01:45 of these hotels or motels you call them. Nothing good ever happens there." For
