00:13 I mean, he's in a no win situation, I think in this case,

00:18 And no other team is motivated to get him at this point.
00:21 So I can see this going any direction, Gilbert.
00:24 I can see James Harden on a beach somewhere opening night,
00:27 posting something on Instagram saying, I hope the game goes well.
00:32 With this guy, I have no idea.
00:33 >> It's interesting, there's been a lot of conversation about James Harden really
00:37 pulling out all the stops in order to just make it clear he does not want to put on
00:41 a Sixers uniform next season.
00:43 He honestly could write a book on trade requests or demands.
00:47 But the interesting thing about James Harden is his contract situation.
00:50 He's set to enter free agency next summer,
00:53 which adds a little bit of a wrinkle to a potential holdout.
00:57 Because the CBA that the NBA has just agreed on with this players association
01:01 would say that a guy, if he is to deny his services,
01:04 then that could impact his free agency next year.
01:07 So now James Harden's kind of in a tough situation where he might have to report,
01:10 unless the Sixers ask him not to.
01:12 But now you have a new head coach in Nick Nurse,
01:14 who maybe thinks he can convince James Harden that the grass isn't greener
01:18 elsewhere and Philadelphia gives him his best opportunity to win.
01:21 So there are a lot of moving parts in this situation.
01:24 It seems like the Clippers are okay with going with Russell Westbrook as their
01:28 starting point guard to start the season.
01:29 But they could revisit this if things don't go well.
01:32 You talk about free agency, Kawhi Leonard and
01:34 Paul George are also guys who could walk.
01:36 So if they get a little antsy and get a little impatient,
01:38 maybe we see the Clippers front office like to make a move.
01:41 But I think working in their favor is it doesn't seem like there's much
01:44 of a trade market for James Harden as you alluded to.
01:46 So they're probably gonna take their time.
01:48 We'll see how it happens on the Sixers side and
01:50 what happens on the Clippers side as well.
