00:03 Sports press Rick Harrow and tell you
00:04 a $1.3 trillion business of sports
00:07 with your sports news minute.
00:09 Well, look, I was involved in sports law
00:13 back years ago when there was no such thing
00:15 and kind of badgered my way into teaching
00:18 a sports law class at the Harvard Law School,
00:20 co-teaching it became a rousing success.
00:22 And also now most schools have, in fact,
00:25 450 schools that have sports law administration,
00:28 marketing, technology, and the like.
00:31 Similar thing with New York University,
00:33 they just announced the first class on sports betting.
00:36 Look at the curriculum, serves sports book landscape,
00:39 media tie-ups, sponsorships, data rights,
00:43 integrity, and the history of sports betting.
00:46 It's part of the Entertainment, Media,
00:48 and Technology program at NYU.
00:50 And it took a while for sports law to be mainstream.
00:54 Now, not only is sports betting mainstream,
00:56 but there's a class and there'll be a series of classes
00:59 on what to do, how to do it,
01:01 and how to protect the industry.
