00:00A non-contact injury there for Caleb Williams, and I keep reading all day today how it's, I guess it's
00:07good news with the hamstring.
00:09What's good about it, and what are we really looking at here with him?
00:13Well, you know, we got a ton of traffic on that, and the early traffic went from the war room
00:19when we said this is a hamstring injury.
00:22I got a lot of hate, like you're an idiot, it's non-contact, it's obviously Achilles, it's obviously this, that,
00:28the other.
00:29I went back and looked at the video from our war room there, and as everyone was telling me this
00:34was going on, I was like, I just don't see anything but a hamstring here.
00:38And then, you know, this is what I always say, this is what we do at Sports Injury Central, and
00:42this is what I do based on my NFL career, having been with the team.
00:47You got to look at the video of the injury to get to your conclusion.
00:51You can't look at the reaction to the injury, slamming your helmet, towel over your head, fist bumping, condolences from
00:59your teammates, the carted off.
01:01That's the reaction to the injury, the injury itself.
01:05And I'm not, like, and I don't like how everyone's calling Caleb Williams soft.
01:09It was just a grade one hamstring, and here you go.
01:11Look, we've all probably been there.
01:13We all have probably stubbed our toe and thought we were going to die, you know, on a table leg.
01:18And two minutes later, go, hey, it wasn't so bad, right?
01:21And as a player coming off the field, you don't know what it is, and you're wondering and worried.
01:27You felt something twinge and pull.
01:29You're not experienced in what it is.
01:31So I'd cut him a break on that.
01:33But the good news is, with a grade one, look, it is ridiculous to say that he's going to play
01:39next week.
01:40But the good news is he's not going on short-term IR.
01:44In the NFL, we always had a saying, never too high, never too low.
01:47Look, most of the fans had him done for the season because it was non-contact.
01:52And now fans and people say, he's going to play on week three.
01:55Come on.
01:56That's never too high, never too low.
01:58It's somewhere in between there.
02:00They're not going to play him unless he's closer to 100%.
02:04Why?
02:04They don't want to turn this week or two short-term injury into a multi-week injury by making the
02:11hamstring worse.
