00:00 have signaled the same intention of withholding exam papers again?
00:05 Yes we have. So we sent that communique this week. No submission of exam papers
00:11 because the exam papers are due in early November and last time we got a remit
00:18 based on that because they weren't even giving us a remit. This time we have to
00:23 escalate and we have to continue to escalate until we get something that is
00:28 reasonable and acceptable. What do you hope will happen?
00:32 What I hope will happen, I hope, we all hope, all the members hope that we are
00:43 going to get an expeditious and speedy resolution to this crisis. We consider it
00:47 a crisis okay so that we can go back to normalcy. We want the best for the
00:52 university, want the best for the students but we cannot simply work under
00:57 these terms and conditions. You mentioned you met with the student
01:02 guild. What is their position? They have told us, the last thing they told us is
01:06 that they are going to speak to their members, their constituency which I
01:11 suppose is the students and they will get back to us. Since then we have not
01:15 heard and that was last week Monday. When you speak about intensified action what
01:20 does that entail? Well what we are currently doing because we did not want
01:25 to jeopardize the teaching and learning process is that we have continued to
01:28 teach. We did not stop the teaching. Keep in mind that we represent academic,
01:33 senior, administrative and professional staff so our members are in every office
01:37 in the university. Whether it's campus principal's office, deputy principal's
01:41 office, the registry, the library, the DFM, the division of facilities
01:46 management, SETL, the School of Education, wherever they are, they are our members.
01:53 They are professional staff as well. They are senior administrative staff. Even the
01:57 management are members.
