00:00 Yeah.
00:01 Do you have any proof of life on hostages, especially the Americans, in the negotiations
00:05 that have been going on?
00:07 Has there been anything that could reassure the negotiators, the President and you, that
00:12 hostages remain alive and potentially could be rescued?
00:17 So we have been very transparent about the fact that we have limited visibility into
00:22 both the whereabouts of the hostages within Gaza and their condition.
00:26 And I said as recently as yesterday that we have nine missing Americans, one missing green
00:31 card holder, and I cannot look you in the eye and tell you how many of those hostages
00:34 are still alive.
00:36 We do have information, and I'll be careful about how I characterize that, about some
00:43 of the hostages and a notion that there are a substantial number of hostages who are not
00:49 just alive but who could potentially be part of a hostage release.
00:53 But I couldn't give you a number of exactly how many Americans would be included in that.
00:57 That's something that we will have to work through as we continue these negotiations.
01:01 And of course, we won't know for certain until we actually get the release of those hostages
01:08 and they're safely returned to their families.
01:09 So that's something we're going to continue to work on.
