00:00 Magnolia Hotshots won against San Miguel Beer in the PBA Commissioners Cup Finals Game 3.
00:07 This is Rafael Bandayrel's report.
00:09 Magnolia Hotshots won their first game 3 of the PBA Commissioners Cup Finals this Wednesday night in Smart Araneta Coliseum.
00:21 Magnolia defeated San Miguel Beermen in the score of 88 to 80 to get their first win in the series.
00:29 From the start, Magnolia became aggressive in their offense led by veteran floor general Mark Baroca.
00:37 Baroca finished with 20 points, 4 rebounds and 6 assists.
00:42 Even though they were limited to 11 markers, their import, Tyler Bay,
00:47 believes that Baroca, who is a defender, became their best weapon.
00:53 When you're back against the wall, our mentality is not to shoot, but to make a shot.
01:00 We want to defend because that's our team's identity.
01:03 We give our best, we defend because our best offense is our defense.
01:10 When we stop, we run well.
01:12 So, our offense is what leads us.
01:14 That's what happened in that game.
01:16 Magnolia head coach Chito Victolero was impressive.
01:20 He had a big thing of two days of rest for his team's recovery.
01:25 The key factor I think is that two day rest.
01:29 Our body recovered for that two day rest.
01:35 We have a hard time to do our defensive scheme because of, I don't want to make excuses,
01:43 but they're all humans, so it's tiring.
01:48 Magnolia will have a chance to win a series in Game 4,
01:53 which will be played on Friday in Smart Araneta Coliseum.
01:57 But if SMB can recover, they just need one more win to get the title in this conference.
02:05 Rafael Bandayrel for Pambansang TV in Bagong, Philippines.
02:10 Be nice.
