00:00 The body is material but then there is something within that is not material.
00:09 It is not material but it is heavily discontented.
00:16 It is unfulfilled and it wants fulfillment and it does not know how to get there.
00:24 So in its lack of knowledge, what does it do?
00:28 It tries all kinds of material possible including narcotics, drugs because they too are just
00:36 objects, substances.
00:39 So you try even that.
00:40 Maybe this will satisfy me, maybe that will satisfy me, money might satisfy me, entertainment,
00:46 drugs, knowledge, power, sex, sports, whatever, I mean you name it.
00:55 Man has tried everything.
00:58 Tourism, vandalist, you are getting it?
01:04 It is extremely important to study that, that which you really are, a thirsty consciousness.
01:14 While walking in I was discussing the Honorable Dean here, that entire education system is
01:24 focusing exclusively on objects.
01:27 We know so much about for example this mic.
01:33 We know not a thing about the consciousness that speaks to this mic.
01:40 We know about the eyes, we have studied this piece of flesh brilliantly.
01:45 We know all about anatomy, we can cure most of its diseases and we can also replace the
01:52 retina for example and we have goggles, we have specs, you name it.
01:58 And we have extensions of eyes called massive telescopes that can look deep into the space
02:06 as well.
02:07 Those are just extensions of eyes.
02:08 So objectively we know so much but we do not know a thing about the one who looks out through
02:16 the eyes.
02:17 Tell me who is the one taking in information through the eyes?
02:22 Who is the one?
02:24 Do we know him?
02:27 Not that he is male, this is just a way of saying.
02:32 Please tell me who is the one so eager to look out through the eyes that the eyes keep
02:41 rolling continuously?
02:42 Are the eyes ever stable?
02:45 The eyes are looking this way, that way.
02:47 What are the eyes really looking for?
02:50 Our education system puts no emphasis on that.
02:54 So the result is that we know a lot about the objective world but we know very little
03:01 about ourselves.
03:04 And what happens then?
03:05 Then what is possible is that let us say these are top class gadgets.
03:11 I know how to make them but just because I have them will I know what use to put them
03:20 to?
03:21 Please tell me.
03:25 Objective education can reveal to you the secrets of the atom and how to generate atomic
03:31 energy but can nuclear physics also teach you what use to put nuclear energy to?
03:42 Will that teach you that?
03:45 No.
03:46 Now connect that to your point on hatred and strife.
03:54 If lack of understanding of the self continues, the result is inner dissatisfaction which
04:02 manifests as frustration and hatred.
04:07 Add to that the tremendous objective knowledge you have.
04:10 Now tell me what will you do with nuclear energy?
04:14 You know so much about the atom.
04:18 You very well know that even a fraction of the mass of the proton if converted into energy
04:26 becomes huge.
04:29 Right?
04:31 Not too many atoms are required to flatten an entire city.
04:39 A few moles will suffice, just a few moles and an entire city is gone.
04:47 Will nuclear physics ever teach you to not to destroy a city?
04:54 Neither can ethics and morality.
05:01 Because ethics and morality are superimpositions.
05:04 They too are just objective knowledge.
05:06 They come from outside.
05:09 What you need is education that takes you inwards and you come to know who you are.
05:15 You come to see jealousy within, you come to see fear and dissatisfaction within.
05:22 You come to see an incompleteness within and when you observe it, you learn about it.
05:27 When you learn about it, then there is a way to be free of it.
05:30 Thank you.
