00:02It's just different. I mean, nothing's going to replace the thrill of running out on the field
00:07in front of 70,000 people, doing something that I love to do with a great group of teammates.
00:12So I was just certainly ready, and it was just time for me to try something different.
00:18But love, obviously, every aspect that I had. I loved my teammates. I loved playing. I loved
00:25the communities that really embraced me. And they gave so much to me in my life,
00:30and they made my life so full. And I'm just grateful to everyone who played a part.
00:35Obviously, you are in fabulous shape. But how has fitness changed for you since leaving the NFL?
00:42I've actually probably got a little more workout-focused, tried to dial in some things
00:48a little more specifically to what I need to eat and how I stay hydrated and my rest.
00:52Probably the one thing that hasn't been as great is I travel probably too much.
00:57I feel like I'm always on the road in an airplane. But I'm trying to just, again,
01:03I had this physical body I had to take care of for a long time. And I'm not going to let it get
01:08away from me just because I feel better when I'm active and moving around. And I want to live a
01:13very active lifestyle, certainly just to do whatever my kids want to do so I could be around
01:18them and keep up with them. So that's what I'm trying to keep up with my boys as best I can,
01:24although my little girl is a pretty great athlete, too. She's got me out there working hard, too.
01:28Summer is right around the corner. It's practically here, and everybody's going
01:31to be going to Hertz for their summer road trips and things like that. Do you have any
01:35favorite summer road trip memories? God, so obviously for all of us,
01:39they're a little older. We didn't travel like we probably travel now where airplanes are like
01:43Ubers. It was car trips. And that's where I grew up in California. There was a few trips to LA.
01:51There's a really fun lake we used to go to as a family. And we just go up there for two or three
01:58weeks in the neighborhood, and it was a great summer. And our kids now, it's like my kids are
02:02going to Europe, and they're going to South America. And they got a lot of fun things,
02:06but a lot different than the way that I grew up. But it's just the way it is.
