00:00The complaint of PAOCC and PNPC-IDG was filed against Suspended Bamban Mayor Alice Guo in the Justice Department.
00:08This is in accordance with the first illegal arrest of Benji Durango in Bamban, Tarlac.
00:17It was past nine o'clock when PAOC and PNPC-IDG arrived at the office of the Department of Justice
00:23to file a complaint of human trafficking against Suspended Bamban Mayor Alice Leal Guo and Dennis Cunanan.
00:29The complaint was filed under the RA 9208 or Anti-Trafficking in Person Act against Guo and Cunanan.
00:36The 13 other officers and incorporators of the three companies were also involved in the case.
00:43This is in accordance with the establishment of an illegal POGO hub in Bamban, Tarlac.
00:47PAOC and PNPC-IDG brought the documents to the accused.
00:53This is multiple pieces of evidence that can be combined and considered as circumstantial evidence
00:59to show that there is probable cause to charge them.
01:04Just like the discovery that Guo is the owner of ZUN U1 Technology, the POGO hub that was discussed by the authorities.
01:12Evidence came out of this, like the fact that he applied to the former NOLO, the NOLO from the local government.
01:22His involvement in the lesser company also came out.
01:26It also includes other evidences like his name,
01:30the documents that were found in the POGO compound.
01:34The case that will be filed is only human trafficking.
01:37But it is expected that there will be more cases to be filed.
01:40They just need time for this.
01:43The other cases that we can file against the respondents
01:49will need more time for us to gather enough evidence for those cases.
01:55Guo is expected to face the case,
01:57but the DOJ is still processing the look-out bulletin for the suspended mayor
02:02that may be released next week.
02:04We cannot deny that anyone who is charged with a crime has a flight risk,
02:10especially if they have resources from other countries.
02:15Hopefully, Mayor Guo will not fly because he and his representatives
02:21are saying that he is willing to face the allegations against him.
02:26Aside from that, Mayor Guo is a public official.
02:29He cannot just travel without a travel authority.
02:33But it was clarified that the complaint is not yet in the court and it will still go through the DOJ's process.
02:39It will still go through the preliminary investigation
02:41where the respondents and Mayor Guo will be given a chance to speak their case.
02:47The DOJ is happy because the government agencies are actively helping
02:51in solving the illegal POGO operations.
02:54Because of the case, four LGUs are now helping.
02:58Actually, this morning, they will do a sort of inspection
03:03on the suspected POGO hubs or illegal POGO hubs in their area.
03:08Which towns or provinces?
03:10I will just give you one province which is Pampanga.
03:15This is also a reminder to the illegal POGO operators that the entire government is watching them.
03:21Benji Durango for Pambansang TV in Bagong, Philippines.
