00:00Donald Trump did not take kindly to a question about his recent lack of public events.
00:04What a stupid question this is.
00:06With the arguable exception of Thursday's press conference at Mar-a-Lago,
00:09Trump did not hold any campaign events in battleground states this week.
00:13Vice President Kamala Harris' campaign pointed this out in a Monday post on X captioned,
00:18Low energy at real Donald Trump?
00:20Trump says he doesn't need to be on the trail.
00:22Why haven't you been campaigning?
00:24Because I'm leading by a lot.
00:26But that's not actually true.
00:27As of Friday morning, RealClearPolitics' polling average had Harris in the lead,
00:31though only by half a point.
00:33President Biden had also been on a relatively light campaign schedule.
00:36But now that he's been replaced as nominee by Harris,
00:39Trump's itinerary has some in his party worried.
00:41A Republican strategist anonymously told The Hill,
00:44I think it's a legitimate question why Trump's not doing more events.
00:47He's not a young man himself.
00:49He's going to need to step it up.
