00:00Myself and my colleagues have made our way up to the 20th floor, where I'd ascertained
00:07the flat was on fire. It was thick with heavy smoke and there was a number of individuals
00:12still in the corridor. I informed them that there was a fire and that they needed to get
00:15out of the property. Myself and one of the response sergeants on that day decided to
00:20enter the flat. We tried to stay as low as we could. We tried to enter one of the doors
00:24that was locked and forced entry into that door. And as that's happened, I've spotted
00:30the gentleman that was in the flat. He mentioned that his wife was still in the flat, quite
00:34dazed, so we re-entered the property to ensure his wife wasn't in there. Once we'd confirmed
00:39all those rooms were clear, we left the property and then continued to assist the other police
00:45officers.
