00:00The strikes were targeting, there are 31 branches and the Lebanese did not know which branches
00:08will be targeted.
00:09There are a number of branches in the Dahya, which is the southern neighborhood Hezbollah
00:14stronghold and there are branches around the capital, the city center and around Lebanon
00:21and Beirut as well.
00:22So there was a lot of people displaced last night and they moved out of their homes.
00:27They know there are branches around their homes in other areas of Beirut.
00:30So Beirut was packed last night in the street.
00:34But what happened is that the attacks targeted only the branches inside the neighborhood,
00:39the Hezbollah stronghold or Dahya around, as we've been told by the Lebanese authorities
00:45here, around 15 branches, which were all inside, situated in the Dahya or southern part of
00:50Beirut and the other branches were not targeted.
00:53Now what Hezbollah says that the money has already been moved away before these targets,
01:01these attacks happened last night and they've already moved away and that the deposits of
01:05all those who have left their deposits inside are safe and will be paid.
01:10This happened before, a couple of years before when Israel also targeted the branches of
01:15the banks and all the money was delivered to the people afterwards.
01:22So it happened before and they got their money back and this time again.
01:26These branches, Hezbollah says, are only for giving loans, soft loans.
01:32Even the bank is called the soft loan bank, where people can deposit gold or cash and
01:39they take a loan with the guarantee of the money or gold they have deposited.
01:45And Hezbollah says it does not profit from this, it's not for political or military,
01:50but it's only a charitable organisation to help the Lebanese in need of loans at a very low rate.
01:58And as we understand from the Hezbollah side, nothing has affected their financial situation so far.
