00:00Russia is carrying out intense attacks in multiple sectors of the Eastern Front with
00:09attempts to break through Ukraine's defences in Donetsk region towards the towns of Kurakhove
00:15and Pokrovsk.
00:16Moscow forces recently advanced during two mechanised assaults within and south of Kurakhove.
00:21Now, they have specifically advanced in northern and north-eastern Dalna and in the fields
00:27east and south-east of the settlement.
00:30The Institute for the Study of War says that Russian advances near Danya are likely aimed
00:34at bypassing the string of settlements north of Vuhlydar along the highway that could have
00:39posed a notable challenge to advancing Russian forces.
00:42The think tank assesses that further Russian advances into Danya and west of the settlement
00:47could force Ukrainian forces to withdraw from positions in the pocket north and north-east
00:52of Vuhlydar, allowing Russian forces to advance along the highway relatively uncontested and
00:58further pressure Ukrainian positions in Kurakhove from the south.
01:02At the same time, Ukrainian military officials are warning that Russian forces may intensify
01:06assaults in Zaporizhzhia region in near future.
01:11Ukrainian Tavrysk Group of Forces spokesperson Colonel Vladislav Voloshin said that Russian
01:16forces are moving trained assault groups to forward positions in occupied Zaporizhzhia
01:22region but it is unclear if the Russian military intends to conduct a unified offensive operations
01:28or separate assaults.
01:30But Russian forces have conducted preliminary reconnaissance operations in the area and
01:35have increased the number of airstrikes in southern Ukraine by 30 to 40 percent in the
01:41past two-three weeks.
