01:06President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. is encouraging the DSWD to address the stunting and bullying of many youths in the new Philippines.
01:19DSWD Secretary Rex Gatchalian called for a whole-of-government approach to reduce the number of stunted youths.
01:28Because of this, DSWD is preparing the first 1,000-day grant or financial assistance under the 4-Piece.
01:36Under the program, DSWD will help 4-Piece beneficiaries who are pregnant and lactating mothers to provide proper nutrition.
01:47But you know, our President is very conscious that we need to lower the rate of stunting.
01:55Because one-third of our youths, 30% of our youths is rated as stunted.
02:02One of the highest in the world.
02:04That's why the President became aggressive and raised the whole-of-government approach that not only DOH but also DSWD should help.
02:12That's why we know that stunting is deep in the poorest families in the 4-Piece.
02:19That's why we will introduce the first 1,000-day grants for mothers who are pregnant or have children from 0 to 2 years old.
