00:03I'm one of your hosts always, Willis Speedy Jr. Gonzalez, and I'm here with Marvin McDonald.
00:07He's from Swerve Comics. Tell me more about Swerve Comics.
00:11Well, basically, Swerve Comics is my brain style of basically just growing up, I'm doing my own art.
00:17I started creating my own characters, started creating my own stories and stuff.
00:21I really got more into the stories and stuff when I left in college.
00:24I got more of my writing background and things, and just been doing art.
00:27I mean, as you grow, you want to see your own things happen, you want to see your own things grow.
00:32Right.
00:32And that's what I did, it's creating my own comics.
00:34Great, man.
00:35So tell me about your main, you have multiple, I see you got multiple stories and comic books.
00:43Tell me, I got like four main ones, but the main one that I'm coming out with first is Beyond the Red Door.
00:48Okay.
00:48It's kind of like an anthology, like a hit up to like, to Chels from the Shirt, Twilight Zone.
00:55It gives you different stories, it's all about one event that occurs in our world.
01:00The seepage comes in and it alters everything, and I'll give you those points of views with the perspectives of those people's lives and how it affects them.
01:07Very cool, very cool.
01:08Some of it gets power to, some of it twists with them, make them like abnormal and stuff.
01:13And then some just, I give you the outside of that person going through stuff, and understand family and how they treat them and stuff like that.
01:19So it's just a whole bunch of stories.
01:22I didn't want to go the full superhero route, I wanted to do something different, you know.
01:26And save the day.
01:27So, you know, I'm going to go save the day, but yeah, I still got other problems I have to deal with in the background.
01:31So, it's just a little something different.
01:33So, okay, so tell me you know about critical conflict, or something?
01:37Critical conflict is something a brainchild of mine that I came up with that just gives you...
01:42Basically, he's a brother, he got his powers from the seepage.
01:46Okay.
01:47And...
01:48So, this is kind of like a big universe he got behind.
01:51It's a big universe.
01:52I like it.
01:53I like it.
01:53So, like I said, it gives you the aspect of other different characters and stuff.
01:57He's one-on-one, it affected him.
01:59You took it to a negative side.
02:00He becomes like this big, I'm not saying troublemaker, but he has a problem with authority.
02:06Let's just put it like that.
02:07But, they also came to him the wrong way, too.
02:10I see.
02:10So, it gives you a different side of each side of the story.
02:14Okay.
02:15So, then you got another character, which is...
02:17Roku.
02:18Roku!
02:19So, is that just your...
02:20That's some fan art.

02:22Dragon Ball Z.
02:23It was a challenge from one of the kids when I worked at, like, a juvenile program.
02:26I'm going to tell them why you keep talking to me.
02:27Oh, please do.
02:28From a juvenile program, he told me if I drew it for him, he would behave for, like, a week.
02:32Yeah.
02:33After I drew it and gave it to him, he stopped me.
02:37Dope.

02:38So, then the baby doll was another...
02:39And that's...
02:40She's also affected by the seepage as well?
02:42Or tell me more about the character.
02:43Baby doll is one of my few big stories for Beyond the Red Door.
02:46Mm-hmm.
02:47They basically were affected.
02:49And they also affected her little dolls and stuff.
02:54And each doll becomes a vessel for a creature that comes through.
02:59Right.
02:59So, she controls those dolls and stuff.
03:03They're like her babies.
03:05You know what I'm saying?
03:06So, they're like agents of vengeance for those people who can't get stuff done.
03:10Right.
03:10If something happens, they come to her mom.
03:14My mom's kind of like a voodoo lady.
03:15So, I got a little bit of voodoo in there.
03:17A little bit of the religion and stuff.
03:19But not too much.
03:20But just touched on the voodoo tip.
03:22Right.
03:22And they're kind of like...
03:23Like, Tasha's used the voodoo doll.
03:24She's got a teddy bear.
03:25She's got a rag doll.
03:26I don't know if I can...
03:27Let's pick it up a little bit.
03:28So, people don't argue.
03:30No offense.
03:31Just look weird in that outfit.
03:32I'm just saying.
03:33We got the voodoo doll.
03:34We got a nice ripped up teddy and stuff.
03:37And baby doll.
03:38She controls all of them.
03:39They're like her children.
03:41They do exactly what she says.
03:42So, if she tells them to go get you, they're going to go get you.
03:44They'll get you.
03:45You know what I'm saying?
03:47I like it.
03:48All right.
03:48And then, let's see.
03:49What else?
03:50That's what's all your...
03:51No, I have a few ones in here.
03:54I should be going to show you from there.
03:55Yeah, from all.
03:56From the Swerveverse.
03:58All about the Swerveverse.
04:00Exactly.
04:00Yeah.
04:01And I got the other main guy that everybody likes.
04:04Right here is the boy Southpaw.
04:05Yeah.
04:07It affected him.
04:08And his parents were killed from it.
04:11So, he grew up.
04:13They left him a few trinkets behind.
04:15And when he comes to find out, one of those trinkets gives him the ability to have...
04:19Basically, it's more like an angelic thing.
04:22Fighting against a demon.
04:23Right.
04:24The armor that he wears is actually the armor of Lucifer.
04:27The Fallen Angel.
04:28Wow.
04:28That's what happened to the armor.
04:30Now, he has it.
04:30He wields it.
04:31And he fights the actual seepage that comes from the other universe because it's evil.
04:36Wow.
04:37So, he's like my big justice guy in this whole secret story.
04:40Very cool.
04:41And then my other guy...
04:43Right here.
04:44This is other fan art.

04:46Really good fan art, man.
04:47Yeah.
04:48I do fan art, but I don't like to do too much fan art.
04:51I like to show my original art.
04:52But when I do fan art, I like to put some of my characters in it.
04:56Yeah.
04:56Like right here, I love the static shot.
04:59Miles Morales.
05:00And this right here is my son.
05:01These are like some of his favorite characters.
05:02Right.
05:03But this is my son's character.
05:04The Phantasmus.
05:05So, he's also in the storyline as well, too.
05:07Cool.
05:08And then my boy 8-Ball right here.
05:10We took care of that snap thing for their visions before they were having.
05:13We got the gloves.
05:13We fixed all that.
05:14Yeah.
05:17But one of my other main characters right here is 8-Ball.
05:20He's one of all sorts of the stories I'm developing as well, too.
05:23And he was affected by the seepage as well.
05:25Right.
05:26And he just took his, and he turned into a positive thing with it.
05:29Okay.
05:30Even though he had a run-in with the law, he still turned it around, and he uses his powers
05:34now to, like, keep the neighborhood straight.
05:37So, I kept it more like an urban thing.
05:38Kind of like, you know, Luke Cage.
05:40Just clean up the neighborhood, keep the neighborhood good.
05:42I like it.
05:43And then I got Enzy right here, my alpha female.
05:45She's just one strong, bad sister.
05:48You know what I'm saying?
05:49So, it affected her as well, too.
05:51But her parents are still in her life.
05:53So, that gives you a different aspect.
05:54He only has his mom.
05:56She has both sets of her parents.
05:58And her father teaches her how to use her power and keep being strong.
06:01She teaches her how to be a strong character.
06:03So, I try to give you a different aspect of each character on how the seepage affected them.
06:07And then Pharaoh's, this goes more into, once it gets past Earth, it goes into outer space.
06:13These are all of my other stories that are still in the development.
