00:00Can I just thank everybody for coming this morning, it's only half houring of time, Jane
00:24is organising it, has had meetings with councillors and everything, the breweries are still not
00:31replied to us, we've requested a meeting with the brewery to explain their actions, why
00:37they want to turn into a tower recovery and blah blah blah, but as yet we've still not
00:42replied, so at the moment I find any action, we're not the wiser ourselves, you know what
00:50I mean sort of thing, but I'm glad everybody's turned up.
00:54Half every time we've heard, Jane's put a poster down there, you know, we'll just wave
00:59it here, we'll just show, pop come on, you know, it's been a good go, all of you have
01:04probably used it for years, we've had a bit coming in the last ten years and I was going
01:08to have probably used it longer than that, Speedway and footballs and yeah, I mean I'm
01:15only 21, I've had a rough life, I had a massive fight for him when I was a kid, and as you
01:21know how they do all the quizzes and that, so I'd just like to thank everybody for just
01:25giving up a bit of time this morning and showing gain some support, because air does panic,
01:30it does things, it puts all her heart into it and then starts panicking on nobody, I'm
01:34going to come and stuff like that, but I'd like to thank everybody for coming this morning,
01:38you're down the main show, we're going to put a bit of muse, you can't.
01:42Hello, I'm Joseph Brewervich, I'm outside the Cleveland Arms at a protest, this is Shane
01:47Hancock, she's the organiser of the protest, tell me a bit about what you're doing this
01:50day.
01:51Well, the brewery has decided to turn it into a town recovery, they haven't asked anybody's
01:57opinions, not even Mike, Helen and Willow out it, we're just protesting, even just for
02:04them to come and see us to talk about it, because we can't get them at the moment to act for us.
02:10There's loads of those on in the pub, they've raised over the years over £90,000 for charity,
02:17with their event nights, they go to the Good Shepherd or the local charities, we've got pool
02:22tables, which when you turn to the table, there won't be any reasons anymore round here,
02:27local people, they live on their own, they come in in the afternoon and have a nice quiet
02:32meal, and a drink and talk to people, they're only called a outlet, there's lots going on,
02:39there's darts, cheese, and it's all got to go, and it can be an hour and a half to eat something,
02:45and to get the next people to come in.
02:47That's what I was going to ask me, what would making this place a Toby Carberry do
02:50slippers, in your opinion?
02:52Well, I don't know what the people in the area will do, because from the nearest decent
02:57home, nearest safe home, you've got to go to the park, and not everybody can join in,
03:02and obviously, you can't bring the car, you go and pay taxis, that's going to put money
03:07on top of your night out, so, you know, we just want to keep the cleave where it's been
03:13for a hundred years, where all the community can just walk to it.
03:17And that's obviously what this morning is all about, it's about having a peaceful process
03:20to say, we support the car.
03:22We want the cleave, I mean, I know there might have to be some form of compromise, but until
03:26the broody talks to us, we can't even do that.
03:30Yeah, yeah, yeah.
03:31So we just want them to listen to us, we don't want to tell the car.
03:35And it's all being here, but obviously the banner down the front as well.
03:38Yes, asking for them to hike, to say that.
03:42I think that would be a good indicator to see how much the community actually care about
03:46it as well.
03:47Yeah, yeah.
03:48Well, we'll go down there in a moment, because they can't really see us from the road, so.
03:53And ultimately, what would you like to achieve in this morning?
03:56Well, the best thing to be would be the cleave to stay as it is.
04:01That's what we'd like.
04:02But...
04:03For a bit of recognition this morning at least.
04:05Yeah, for them to at least get in touch with us, now that I know there's such support,
04:11such upset, and just talk, plow plow with us.
04:14With all the boys of the girls and girls and girls who helped us to get back through,
04:39See people!
04:43Go out.
