00:00First mystery, the prayer of Jesus in the garden.
00:05Sacred Scripture tells us that Jesus, after the last supper,
00:11He went with his disciples to a garden to pray.
00:15Jesus knew that the time to surrender had come
00:18and it was necessary to prepare in prayer.
00:23This will also be the opportunity that the devil will have
00:26to tempt him again.
00:28Try to convince him not to do the Father's will.
00:34Jesus, as God knows the passion he must live
00:38It will be a very painful ordeal.
00:42So he says to the Father,
00:45if it is possible that this cup may pass from me.
00:50But at that moment, the grace and power of the Spirit
00:54who always assists him, prompts him to say,
01:00But not my will, but yours be done.
01:06This scene is repeated in many of us
01:09when we are experiencing a difficult situation,
01:14when our life enters a crisis
01:16And it's a very opportune moment for the devil
01:20Come and convince us
01:21to act in a way that God does not approve of,
01:25of not doing God's will.
01:27That is when, like Jesus, we must surrender ourselves to God's love.
01:35in His mercy,
01:37which will never allow
01:38that we may be tested beyond our strength,
01:43who will never invite us to take up a cross
01:45that is bigger and heavier than we can carry.
01:51During your prayer,
01:53Let the love and intercession of Mary work in your favor.
01:56convince you of the strength that God gives you
01:59so you can get ahead
02:02in all your trials and in all your difficulties
02:06and say like Jesus,
02:09animated by the power of the Holy Spirit,
02:11Father, not my will, but yours be done.
02:23Our Father who art in heaven,
02:26hallowed be thy name,
02:29Thy kingdom come,
02:31Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
