00:00The Asian Development Bank approved the 400 million U.S. dollars loan to reduce hunger, food insecurity, and poor nutrition in the country.
00:08According to the ADB, reducing food insecurity and undernutrition to the electronic vouchers project will support the government to expand their newest flagship social assistance or the Walanggutom food stamp program.
00:20The loan will assist in the distribution of monthly electronic food vouchers to 750,000 food insecure households in the Philippines.
00:28More than that, beneficiaries of the program will attend monthly sessions to learn good nutrition habits aiming to reduce both malnutrition and poverty in the country.
00:38The initiative is part of ADB's commitment to improve food security and nutrition for Filipinos.
