00:00Dear viewers, let me ask you something straight.
00:03With Rs. 250 crore in hand, what can you buy?
00:06A private jet, a yacht, a plot in South Mumbai, an entire luxury tower, maybe even a small IPL team.
00:13You can buy factories, fleets of Lamborghinis, Rolls Royces, Ferraris.
00:17With Rs. 250 crore, you can buy almost anything in this world.
00:21But as a taxpayer in India, with Rs. 250 crore, you cannot buy a proper 562 meter flyover.
00:27That's the tragedy, that's the insult.
00:29Because look at the Pallava flyover in Dombivoli, just 2 months old, a so-called dream project,
00:34price tag Rs. 250 crore, reality, massive potholes, peeling bitumen, loose concrete,
00:40and a road surface that looks like it belongs in a neglected village, not in a Mumbai metropolitan region.
00:46This is what Rs. 250 crore buys us, a 10 gram.
00:49Hello, I'm Tejas and you're watching Honest Take on Lokmat Times.
00:52Today, we are pulling back the curtain on how politicians, contractors, and MSRDC
00:58turned your money into a scam wrapped in concrete.
01:01But before we move ahead, please subscribe to our channel and press the bell icon to never miss an update.
01:07Let's rewind.
01:08July 4th, 2025, the long-awaited Pallava flyover finally opens.
01:12A project worth Rs. 250 crore.
01:14But within hours, bikers skid and fall.
01:17Why?
01:17Because the surface is drenched in excess bitumen, smooth as ice.
01:21Two wheelers topple.
01:23The road is shut down on day one.
01:25Picture that.
01:26A Rs. 250 crore flyover collapsing into chaos the very day it was inaugurated.
01:31By evening, MSRDC is in damage control mode, scattering grit powder like confetti.
01:36A quick rain washes it away.
01:38The surface begins peeling.
01:40Asphalt chunks rip loose.
01:42The so-called development showpiece turn into a national joke in less than 24 hours.
01:47And today, just two months later, it resembles a war zone.
01:51Craters so deep, they would swallow tires whole.
01:54Potholes so many, you would rather push your bike than risk riding on it.
01:58How is this even possible?
02:00How is this even allowed?
02:02Let's talk money.
02:03The entire four-lane flyover project is pegged at Rs. 250 crore.
02:07But here is the catch.
02:09Only two lanes are open.
02:10Those cost anywhere between Rs. 36 to Rs. 72 crore, depending on which MSRDC official you ask.
02:17That leaves Rs. 178 crore for the unfinished half.
02:21Seven years of construction.
02:23Delays after delays.
02:24Excuses about railway corridors.
02:26Deadlines pushed from 2020 to 2024 to May 2025.
02:30Finally, half a bridge opened in July 2025.
02:34And even that is falling apart.
02:36What exactly did Rs. 250 crore buy us?
02:38A glorified rubble pit.
02:40Who built this mess?
02:42MSRDC was the nodal agency.
02:43But the work wasn't handed to credible giants like Tata or L&T.
02:47According to opposition leaders, contracts went to shell companies.
02:51Fronts of politically connected cronies.
02:53Companies with no track record of building durable infrastructure.
02:56Even a school kid can see the contractor is at fault.
03:00But what's the punishment?
03:01Nothing.
03:02No blacklisting.
03:02No arrest.
03:03No money recovered.
03:04The contractor keeps minting crores.
03:07The politician keeps cutting ribbons.
03:09The taxpayer keeps bleeding.
03:11After outrage boiled over, the state ordered a structural audit by VJTI in August.
03:17A month later, the flyover keeps crumbling.
03:20At this rate, there might not even be a road left before the audit report comes in.
03:24And even if it does, let's be real.
03:26We have seen this movie before.
03:28Audits pile up, reports gather dust, and in the end, no contractor lands in jail.
03:33No politician is ever held accountable.
03:36Audits in India are not for fixing problems.
03:39They are for buying silence and delaying responsibility.
03:42Palawa flyover is not just one bridge.
03:44It's a mirror.
03:45A reflection of how infrastructure is built in this country.
03:48Shoddy material, crony contractors, politicians desperate to cut ribbons before elections.
03:55Agencies like MSRDC playing middlemen, not watchdogs.
03:58Audits that come after disasters, not before.
04:01Rupees 250 crore isn't just money.
04:04It's your sweat, my sweat, everyone's taxes.
04:07And it has been poured into a concrete scam that cracked open in weeks.
04:12Palawa flyover is a warning.
04:13If we don't demand accountability now, we will keep driving on bridges that are not bridges,
04:19but ticking time bombs.
04:20So yes, with rupees 250 crore, you can buy the best luxuries in the world.
04:25But in Maharashtra, you cannot buy a proper flyover.
04:28Because the money isn't building roads.
04:31It's building fortunes for politicians, contractors, and middlemen.
04:35The Palawa flyover stands not as a symbol of progress, but as a monument to corruption.
04:40I am Tejas and this was honesty.
04:42If you are tired of your money being looted in the name of development, share this video.
04:47Let's make sure the Palawa flyover doesn't become just another scandal we would forget.
05:12Aloha.
05:15Welcome to the Palawa flyover.
05:19Let's inspect the Palawa flyover.
05:21Let's go to the Palawa flyover.
05:23Let's run.
