00:2980 it should be a plus for above 70 it's going to be a it's above 60 is going to be um above 60 is
00:40going to be b and so forth so now what i'm going to do is let's say for example let's keep 45 right now
00:46and i'm going to press equals right here let's add in a simple if condition first so i'm just going
00:51to go around and type in if and open up the bracket and take this particular cell as reference so it's
00:57going to be let's say if b2 is greater than so i'm just going to go ahead and add this in i'm going
01:04to say this is the logic greater than 80 then the result should be what it should be a plus so i'm
01:11just going to go around over here type in a plus otherwise it's going to go to the next uh next
01:17condition so over here you can see it says a plus right here otherwise let's say it's going to say
01:23fail and i'm going to press equals so you can see that 45 says fail because it is not greater than
01:29or equal to 80 and 80 itself is fail as well but for 80 i do want to display a plus itself so over here
01:37uh there's greater than and equal to so let's say uh you have the value of 80 that is whatever value
01:44there is that and above that value is going to be a plus so i'm just going to press enter and now it
01:50says a plus so 79 is fail and 80 is a plus but depending on the marks i want the grade to change
01:58so over here for that let's say for example now it says if b2 is greater than 80 it's a plus
02:05otherwise i want it to uh go and perform another if condition so i'm just going to type in if again
02:12and open up bracket right here and type in b2 right here and i'm going to say greater or equal to
02:19right here just like this and now what i'm going to do is i'm going to type in 70 let's say for
02:24example press comma and then i'm going to go ahead and type in a and now this is what i have right here
02:31press enter right here just like this and then now if i were to type in 65 you can see that it says
02:38fail right here but 71 right here is a so i want to go ahead and repeat this out for all of the grades
02:44right here so let's just go ahead and remove this out right here and now i'm going to go ahead and
02:50copy this part out right here after if so i'm just going to go around until if and i'm going to go
02:56ahead and paste this out right here because the formula is going to be same so i'm just going to
03:00go around and type in 60 and type in b right here paste it out again and then it's going to be greater
03:07than uh or equal to let's say for example 50 is going to be let's say for example c so let me just
03:14go around and type it again and let's say for example greater than 43 right here is going to be
03:21d and let's say for example greater than or equal to 40 right here is going to be e right here just like
03:29this and if not i'm going to go around and type in fail right here just like this so you can see that
03:34these are nested if condition and I'm going to go ahead and close off all the brackets right here
03:39and you can see that each one of them gets highlighted as well. So if I were to go ahead
03:43and press enter this is what I have now and now depending on what I type let's say for example if
03:50I were to type in 21 it says fail because it's under 40 so 40 is going to be E, 43 is going to
03:57be D right here, 56 is going to be C, 89 is going to be A plus and so forth right here just like that.
04:05So that is simply how you can go ahead and use the nested if condition as you like inside of excel.
