00:00Let me tell you about the drama that's happening right now in Morocco during the African Cup
00:04of Nations.
00:05So, as many of you have seen, there is a man who's been going viral during the African
00:09Cup of Nations.
00:10He stands perfectly still, just like this, during the entire match.
00:14It's an homage to Patrice Lumumba.
00:16He is a member of the Congolese traveling fan group.
00:19But his actions during the game have become extremely famous all over Africa and all throughout
00:24the world because what he does represents Congolese history and it represents a great
00:28man.
00:29However, when Congo played Algeria during the African Cup of Nations, Algeria beat Congo.
00:34And Mohamed Amora celebrated at the end of the game in front of the Congolese fans, imitating
00:39and mocking the Congolese fan who stands perfectly still.
00:43So what happened?
00:44The entire internet went ablaze.
00:46People couldn't believe that anyone would dare to disrespect such a beautiful thing that
00:50was happening during the African Cup of Nations.
00:53And so what happened?
00:54The Algerian Federation tried to remedy the situation and they invited the Congolese fan to their
00:59country.
01:00He did come, but the damage had been done.
01:02And so the entire footballing world said, we have to get these Algerians back somehow.
01:05Then, Nigeria played Algeria.
01:08And Akor Adams scored a crucial goal to send Nigeria through against the Algerians.
01:13And guess what celebration he did?
01:15He stood perfectly still, put his hand up and said, listen, us Africans, we stand with
01:20the Congolese.
01:21We do not stand for making fun of history.
01:23We do not stand for making fun of our history.
01:26And Patrice Lumumba is a hero in football, in soccer and throughout the world.
