00:03Thousands of cafe lovers, baristas, entrepreneurs, and beverage innovators converged at the Kuala
00:09Lumpur Convention Center for the International Cafe and Beverage Show 2026 from May 7th to 9th,
00:16transforming the venue into a vibrant hub of creativity, innovation, and cafe culture.
00:23Now in its fifth edition, the three-day event served as a key meeting ground for entrepreneurs
00:28and industry professionals to explore new ideas, strengthen partnerships, and expand their
00:34businesses. From premium coffee beans and handcrafted desserts to state-of-the-art espresso
00:40machines and beverage technology, the exhibition floor offered an immersive experience for both
00:45professionals and casual coffee enthusiasts. Over 650 participating brands were featured alongside
00:53over 1,000 baristas and 2,000 cafe owners, with over 55 countries represented.
00:59I think it's a really good experience. We met a lot of different sort of like segment in terms
01:03of all of the market as well, in terms of like from the corporate side, for the business side.
01:07So I think it's a good kind of like connection for us to gain more leads at the same time
01:11to get
01:11more kind of like connection in terms of our own discipline.
01:15The market itself, a very dynamic market that they bring. And I could see that from ICBS platform
01:21itself, they actually managed to, the rich managed to reach to all many parts of Malaysians, especially
01:29the industry and coffee players, that they come over here. And along these three days, we have
01:35seen multiple, not just multiple, a lot of them coming to us saying they're coming from
01:41here, this region, and then that region, which is a very, very good platform for us to connect.
01:46That is a good platform to gather together the people who like coffee and the beverage. So I think
01:57it's very helpful to help me find the customers.
02:02One of the biggest attractions here was the Malaysia Open Championships, in which some of the region's
02:08top coffee talents competed in prestigious contests, such as the Malaysia Open Barista Championship,
02:14Malaysia Open Latte Art Championship, and Malaysia Open Brewers' Cup.
02:19I would say everyone had their very good concept to present to the judges and also to the community.
02:27Everyone had a very compatible coffee on the stage itself. So well done for all the competitors.
02:34Overall, the event attracted 14,363 attendees and served as a fine celebration of the creativity,
02:42craftsmanship and innovation in the cafe and beverage scene. ICBS 2026 was organized by Montgomery Asia in
02:50collaboration with Barista Guild Asia and Echiato. And now we can't wait for next year's edition.
