00:13But in the weeks before his death, Wazabanga and his partner Ronique Belfan, another investor, had struggled to get in
00:23touch with Mr Aladejana, as the business failed and ran up debts.
00:29On the 2nd of August 2025, Wazabanga armed himself with a hunting knife, as he and Mrs Belfan travelled from
00:38Bedford to South London to find their business associate.
00:42The court heard how the couple made the journey with two small children in the car, with the youngsters being
00:50present in the vehicle as the murder unfolded a short distance away.
00:56In June, Wazabanga was found guilty by a jury of murder and on Tuesday was sentenced at the Old Bailey
01:03to life with a minimum of 24 years.
