A finance manager at KCJ Engineering testified she prepared four RM200,000 cheques, totalling RM800,000, for donation to Bersatu, on the instruction of managing director Datuk Azman Yusoff.

Zurieda Deres @ Musa said the contribution was linked to a Jana Wibawa project awarded to the firm, though she wasn't aware of further details.

00:00A finance manager at construction firm KCJ Engineering has testified that she prepared four cheques worth 200,000 ringgit each
00:08to be donated to Bersatu.
00:10Zurieda Deres, alias Musa, told the court the cheques were issued on the instruction of KCJ Managing Director Datuk Azman
00:19Youssof.
00:20She said Azman told her the contribution was linked to a Jana Wibawa project awarded to KCJ, though she said
00:26she wasn't aware of further details of the project.
00:28The witness said regardless of the objective, the instruction came from the Managing Director, and as a subordinate, she had
00:35to carry it out.
00:37Zurieda is the prosecution's 19th witness in Bersatu President Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin's graft trial linked to the Jana Wibawa
00:44project.
00:45She explained the 800,000 ringgit was split into four cheques because two signatories, Muhammad Zayed Youssof and Zulhelmi Myrin,
00:54could only sign cheques up to 200,000 ringgit each.
00:57After the cheques were signed, Zurieda said she passed them to Azman, adding she does not know who eventually cashed
01:03them.
01:04Muhyiddin faces four counts of using his position to obtain bribes totaling 225.3 million ringgit linked to the Jana
01:11Wibawa project,
01:13allegedly committed at Bangunan Pradhanaputra in Putrajaya between March 2020 and August 2021.
01:19He also faces three counts of receiving proceeds from illegal activities totaling 200 million ringgit,
01:25allegedly deposited into Bersatu's bank accounts between February 2021 and July 2022.
01:32The trial continues before Justice Noor Rewin Ahmad Nordin tomorrow.
