00:06so in terms of though what we do when we leave the office is every bit as important I mean
00:11we're not
00:12gonna go to the dentist and have you know your teeth whitened your teeth cleaned or whatever
00:15and then never brush your teeth right same thing with hair so it's really important to carry out
00:21to improve and enhance the results with what you do at home so a couple of examples I really like
00:26to use scientifically based skin care so scientifically based skin care there's some
00:32nice examples of it here there's skin better so I really like the alpha retinoic acid because that
00:38will stimulate cell turnover increased collagen production increased production of the hyaluronic
00:43acid which we also inject into the skin I have a little syringe here anybody anybody and this is
00:51wrestling kiss just saying they gave it to me without the needle but you know we have a way
00:59um and then this is the this is the skin better and I also just wanted to I always like
01:04show and tell
01:04and then um SkinCeuticals has a new product which is like a topical type of muscle relaxer it is not
01:11Botox or Xeomin or any of those but it does help enhance the results and then I also brought up
01:17a
01:17little sculpture sign too but um because that's also one less I just want to say one last thing
01:23about um so in the galderma line there's also the elastin line which is also outstanding and finally the
01:31supplements so in terms of supplements there's a really interesting one that's also in the skin
01:35better line called bio rewind which is a rosemary extract and what this does is it increases your own
01:41innate antioxidant system so it's not just adding an antioxidant it's also increasing it it's very
01:48anti-inflammatory and I think it's nice to kind of hit the whole every single point along the way
01:55because it doesn't matter what time how old you are when you start but that's when you begin your

03:10hi Paula she embodies longevity ageless living and just resilience all around and thank you so much for
03:19for coming and and doing this this for me I really I can't believe it you know as a small
03:26child from the
03:26Philippines being here on stage with all of you fabulous beautiful people so regenerative medicine
03:33what is it you know in the past really what we've been doing is filling cutting extra skin but what
03:39if
03:39we really can reverse the action of the skin what if we really can make your skin and the cells
03:46behave
03:47like it's younger and we are able to do that now and as Ava alluded there are now studies that
03:52show
03:52the things that we do as dermatologists fractional radio frequency radio frequency microneedling
03:58really can in the cellular level reverse the aging process reset the aging process the time machine
04:06procedure we coined that about 15 years ago and you know it's a full circle moment because this

07:39shared uh gal derma's behind sculptra which is big in the regenerative aesthetic space so share a little bit about
07:47sculptra and then what we really want to know is what's coming what's new what's next can you tease anything
07:54yes okay so number one disclaimer I'm not a medical professional or medical doctor so any questions you have I
08:02will defer to my lovely um partners up here on stage um so I have been in the aesthetics industry
08:07for 20 years
08:08yes I started as a baby um thanks to all the great products so all the products you know on
08:13the market I do either marketed them sold them launched them etc um and I'm just really fascinated to watch
08:20this industry over time so like why am I here um up here with people who have so many degrees
08:26and such a long legacy of helping patients I have a different vantage point because I get to study the
08:32behavior of consumers the behavior of patients and really dig into like what do they want
08:37and so sculptra is a really interesting one it launched originally in 2009 that's a long time ago almost 20
08:44years
08:45and it's had a couple of I would call it rebirths and now we're looking at sculptra um everyone saw
08:52devil wears product too raise your hand
08:54okay a smidge of sculptra like it was in the movie do you think we paid for that
09:00yep the answer is no so cultural relevance this product has grown and I will say as a the person
09:07in charge of deciding where we spend our money in terms of patient education injector training etc we historically have
09:13not spent a lot of time or money invested in educating patients directly and so now when you see this
09:19convergence of wellness and aesthetics together the vernacular the terminology what resonates with consumers is very different than 20 years
09:27ago when they were like what does it do
09:29they're still asking those questions but now they're still asking those questions but now they're talking about it in terms
09:32of longevity and like people know what fibroblasts are they know what macrophages are
09:36I was talking to my daughter on the way here and I'm like what is regenerative medicine and she's like
09:42well that's when your skin cells regenerate themselves
09:44okay is that would you want that or would you want something else no I think options for all so
09:50that's what we believe in too right
09:52so that's a just a little bit about sculpture if you want to know the specifics about what it is
09:56it is an injectable biostimulatory product and it's intended to help your body recreate or stimulate collagen elastin and we're
10:04even seeing evidence now of fat so this is really interesting right when you're thinking about what's happening in the
10:11world and patients being on GLP medication they're coming to their practitioner asking for like I love the outcome that
10:18I have my health is improving my wellness is improving my wellness is improving my
10:21things are happening with my skin things are happening with my facial wasting so to speak and how can you
10:28help rejuvenate that and so sculpture has become from that point of view more of a phenomenon because it has
10:36those the multi multi modality approach when done correctly with the right treatment regimen over time so that's what we're
10:43seeing in the market I will say to the you just look at the data purely I don't think anyone
10:49really knew what medical aesthetics was
10:5120 years ago it's actually a term I had the honor of working at the original company and we made
10:56that term up right in rooms that I was in so that's how long ago that was and now when
11:03you think about medical aesthetics we're actually starting to hear regenerative aesthetics that's the terminology that's more commonly used with
11:10these procedures the search on google which okay people are on cloud now I get it but if you use
11:16google as the analog the search for regenerative aesthetics is up 2700
11:21100% in one year the search for sculptra is up 60% again without a ton of advertising on
11:30our side so this is a next wave from my perspective and I take it very seriously that we have
11:36an obligation as a company that brings this product to market and to continue to help people understand it and
11:42to get the information they need to be responsible with the treatment at the end of the day this is
11:47medicine right it's not a drive-through
11:50it's medicine going to people who understand the medicine the science behind it is number one priority for us so
