00:00Hello and welcome back to Man O' Many's What We're Watching, where we break down
00:02the best of what's coming to streaming.
00:04This month, our entertainment feast starts and finishes with vampiric horror, while the
00:08main course consists of a tribute to Jaws, the return of Happy Gilmore, and another round
00:13with everyone's favourite gang of Philly scumbags.
00:15Let's get into it.
00:16First up, we have one of the best movies of the year available to stream on HBO Max.
00:20Sinners is an incredibly stylish film that explores the power of music through a vampire
00:23horror story.
00:24If that sounds bizarre, trust me, it absolutely works.
00:27As does Michael B. Jordan, playing a cross from himself as gun-toting twin brothers Smoke
00:32and Stack.
00:32Next we have Jaws at 50, the definitive inside story on Disney+.
00:36Look, I love Jaws, despite the fact that it scarred me as a child and I still feel like
00:40I'm going to see those teeth coming at me every time I dive under a wave.
00:43But with the 50th anniversary being celebrated this year, this National Geographic documentary
00:48is a timely reminder of just what an incredible film it is.
00:50With input from Steven Spielberg, Jordan Peele, Guillermo del Toro, George Lucas and plenty
00:55more, this looks like a fascinating insight behind the scenes of the world's OG blockbuster.
00:59Also on Disney+, the gang from it's always sunny in Philadelphia return for a 17th season.
01:0417 is an insane number for a live action comedy.
01:07Sure, the show may have lost some of its edge as it's grown more polished and the cast members
01:10have had a few too many nips and tucks, but it remains a reliably good time.
01:14And Danny DeVito's Frank Reynolds is a degenerate delight.
01:17Now the one many of you have been waiting for, Adam Sandler is bringing everyone's favourite
01:21petulant hockey player turned golf pro back to Netflix with Happy Gilmore 2.
01:26Could this possibly live up to the 29 year old original?
01:29Absolutely not.
01:29But we'll be watching all the same, if only to catch what we're hoping will be a triumphant
01:33return for Christopher McDonald's Shooter McGavin.
01:35CHOKE ALL NET BABY
01:36Finally we're heading back into vampire territory with Robert Eggers' remake of Nosferatu on
01:40Binge.
01:41When I saw this flick of the movies, I thought it was great.
01:43But I also knew that like Eggers' other releases, it would reward repeat viewings.
01:46Now we can revisit this gothic horror and take in all the splendour that this once in a generation
01:50filmmaker and his incredible team have conjured for the screen.
01:53Sink your teeth in.
