00:00Hello and welcome back to Man of Many's What We're Watching, where we break down what's
00:03heading to streaming every month.
00:05For August, the Alien franchise is heading to Earth, Tom Brady apes Ryan Reynolds' shtick,
00:09and General Ortega's Wednesday is back in black.
00:11Let's get into it.
00:12First up, Tom Brady steals the Welcome to Rex and Formula with Built in Birmingham on
00:16Prime Video.
00:16He may not have the same charisma as Ryan Reynolds, but he does have more plastic surgery, so
00:20there's that.
00:21Next up, we have The Pickup on Prime Video.
00:23This straight-to-streaming Eddie Murphy action comedy looks surprisingly solid, although
00:27your mileage may depend on how you feel about Pete Davidson mugging for the camera.
00:31Moving on, General Ortega is back on Netflix for Wednesday Season 2, as is Tim Burton to
00:35direct a few episodes.
00:36Last season was a big hit, and Ortega's star has only continued to rise, so this will be
00:40worth a look.
00:41Next, the Xenomorphs are invading and it's going to get ugly in Alien Earth on Disney+.
00:45And Attack on Earth has been on the cards for the Alien franchise since an early draft of
00:49Alien 3, so we're keen to finally see the invasion of the facehuggers.
00:53Now fans of Ready or Not will know Samara Weaving is an absolute star, so we're hoping
00:57her ass-kicking presence will elevate eeny-meeny on Disney+.
01:00The film looks like it could be a little generic, but she clearly has the action chops to make
01:04it a fun ride.
01:05Next, following the success of Superman, James Gunn's DCU continues to expand with Peacemaker
01:10Season 2 on HBO Max.
01:12Personally, I'm pretty over superhero fare, but there's no doubt that this will be very
01:16well made.
01:17Finally, Gladiator 2 on Binge is a good watch.
01:20It's not a patch on the original, having sharks in the Colosseum is just so stupid, but we're
01:24looking forward to going back to Ancient Rome and seeing Denzel Washington chew the scenery.
01:28Are you not entertained?
