00:00Hello and welcome back to Man of Man is What We're Watching.
00:02This month, there's new Star Wars, Jacob Elordi gets depressing and there's another
00:06f***ing streaming service that we all have to sign up to.
00:08But first, we have season 7 of Black Mirror on Netflix.
00:11We're not sure how you can be unfamiliar with this anthology series, but if you are,
00:15it explores things around technology, the media and social issues, often with a distinctly
00:19pessimistic point of view.
00:20And with every passing year, it feels less distant from our own increasingly dystopian
00:24reality.
00:25Nevertheless, it's a central view.
00:26Next, Daredevil made his recent return in the Disney Plus series Born Again, and the
00:30season finale launches on April 15.
00:32Showcasing a more grim and brutal side of the Marvel Universe, this series has maintained
00:36the edge established by the Netflix incarnation from 2015.
00:39Here's hoping they stick the landing this time around.
00:41Next, Max has landed in Australia, so now you have to sign up to yet another streaming service
00:46to get all the HBO goodness you used to get elsewhere.
00:49On the upside, Max's launch signals the return of The Last of Us.
00:52One of the most impactful shows in recent memory, The Last of Us felt like one of those rare things
00:56that everyone watched and everyone had an opinion on.
00:58We're looking forward to seeing Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey return for what we're sure
01:02will be another gut-wrenching outing.
01:04And now we come to the narrow road to the deep north.
01:06You a gambling man?
01:08Occasionally, yeah.
01:09Ten shillings, you make it through the entire year of life.
01:11Based on the Richard Flanagan novel, this light-hearted romp looks to be the feel-good
01:15series of the year.
01:16Just kidding.
01:16The synopsis describes this Amazon original series starring Jacob Elordi and Odessa Young
01:21as charting the cruelty of war, the tenuousness of life, and the impossibility of love, as
01:26seen through the eyes of an Australian doctor and prisoner of war.
01:29All jokes aside, it looks pretty incredible.
01:31And finally, one of the few bright spots along Star Wars' slow decline has been the first
01:35season of Andor.
01:36The show returns to Disney Plus on April 22nd for Season 2, and we're hoping and praying
01:40it's that rare contemporary exploration of a galaxy far, far away that's worth checking
01:45out.
01:46May the Force be with us.
