DJ Eva Shaw is incredibly striking, but we don't need to tell you that. You might've already seen her in runway shows, fashion magazines, and ad campaigns. But, after spending her teenage years posing for the camera, she wanted to get out, move around, call the shots. Now, she's commandeering sweat-inducing DJ sets behind the turntable, and the spinning life is proving to be more her thing.

For our third and final installment of our DJ series, After Hours, we sat down with Shaw as she prepped for a very late-night rager at NYC's Pacha. (No, really — Shaw's set started at 1 a.m.) From discovering a connection between fashion and music to tapping into an allegiance of avidly "intense" fans, Shaw dishes the details on her personal style with us and H&M. Getting styled like a model to dance all night? Music won't be the only thing spinning.

00:06When I was first scouted to model I was 13 and I was wearing a really baggy t-shirt that
00:11I had
00:12printed out like a picture of a frog with my name on it that I made at the science center.
00:18So I
00:18wasn't exactly the most fashionable person and now I feel pretty comfortable but it took a while for
00:33sure. Yeah my first gig was actually with another DJ and he told me to go on for a little
00:39bit because
00:39he had to go to the bathroom so I was like freaking out but I took over anyway and the
00:45club owner was there and he saw me and he was like yeah you know you're pretty good you should
00:49uh you should play here yourself. The other DJ was kind of like uh hmm. There's not a whole lot
00:55of girls
00:56that are DJing the kind of style that I play.
01:09I think there's definitely a connection between my fashion and the music that I like. Kind of picking
01:14things that I like and then mashing it up. I feel like I change a lot like I'm kind of
01:18a chameleon
01:19sometimes I'll be a little crazy and in your face with my outfits and other times I'll be refined. I
01:25really like high fashion and then other times I just like being a complete tomboy and I go anywhere
01:31in that between that and sometimes a mix of both. You can really mix up things that are more affordable
01:36with high-end stuff and make it look really fashionable. I like to wear comfortable clothes
01:41when I DJ because I like jumping around and when I can I usually get on the booth and like
01:46spray everyone
01:47the champagne. I try to enjoy the moment um but I also do think about the future a lot. So
01:52up until
01:52now I've always had sort of like an idea of what I'm going to do. Later when I was modeling
01:57I didn't
01:57know I was going to be a DJ. You can kind of plan but at the same time you know
02:01you can't be too strict
02:02with with an idea of the future because you really don't know what's going to happen. As long as you
02:07keep doing then something's going to come up. You have to risk things in life in order to get something
02:13big.
