00:05As a woman in music you kind of have different sort of responsibilities
00:11whether or not you want them or not but at least for me I always try to be the
00:15best musician that I can be. When you're doing the most that you can you can't be
00:19like what do people think of me because you're doing the absolute best you can.
00:37We mostly hang out in Jacob's basement because that's where we practice.
00:43We have to go in through the garage because I lost my house key.
00:46We just don't have anything going on pretty much practice like every day.
00:54Me and Nick met each other our junior year of high school
00:58when I filled in on drums in his other band and then we met Julia around that time too.
01:04Just like playing shows in Brooklyn and the city and all became friends.

01:18I started going to shows in the city around 14.
01:21Yeah we were going back and forth a lot.

01:25I don't think we really like discussed what we wanted the band to sound like.
01:29We just kind of like got down to the basement and just started playing.
01:34You know and it just kind of came together.
01:41Comes down to like just how good they are and that's because they practice all the time and
01:46they're really hard working.
01:49This is the new thing we've been we've been doing which is like making our own jackets and stuff.

02:51It is weird to be in a different place every night it's hard to make a routine but we've been
02:56on tour for so long it's kind of hard because it all feels kind of like second nature now but
03:01yeah I'm excited to dance and push some kids around and have some fun.
03:06So I was ready to break some heads.
03:11Sometimes when um girls or boys come up to me after the set and say like oh you know you
03:18make
03:18me want to play bass or you make me want to pick up my bass again you really inspire you
03:24inspire us to
03:25try to do something I think that's the best feeling for me and I think for them too.
03:29You know their first show was like to 50 people in like a really small bar in Brooklyn and then
03:35to
03:35see them they've played like huge stages with 5 000 people and it's just like I've I have like
03:40moments where I'm just like so utterly proud of what they're doing.
03:48I don't know if we've made it or I think that means something different to everyone but I think
03:52that you know we've definitely had a lot of really cool special moments that we're really grateful for.
03:57We were in Europe and the UK when the album came out. It's really exciting. I think it means that
04:02you know no matter what happens we'll always always have that put an album out. That's really cool.
