00:00We're learning more about the armed Good Samaritan who helped end the deadly mass shooting at an
00:04Idaho In-N-Out. Jordan Salinas says that when he saw a gunman calmly aiming an AR-style rifle at
00:10cars outside of the fast food restaurant, he decided he had to act. Armed with a semi-automatic
00:16pistol, Salinas fired back at the shooter, the first time he had ever pointed a gun at another
00:20person. He told ABC News that the gunman's confidence vanished the moment someone started
00:25shooting back. He seemed unusually comfortable aiming that rifle at those cars, and then as
00:31soon as some rounds started coming at him, everything changed. Immediately, all that, you know,
00:38all that bravado he had immediately crumbled. Police say Salinas and an off-duty officer
00:44forced the gunman to flee the restaurant. The suspect later died from a self-inflicted gunshot
00:48wound. Authorities believe their actions prevented even more people from being killed. The shooting
00:53left two people dead, including 23-year-old In-N-Out employee Ashley Garibay and 59-year-old
00:58Christopher Clonch, while seven others were wounded. Investigators are still working to
01:02determine a motive for the attack.
