00:08I had three conversations with my grandmother and two conversations with my father before he
00:15stopped taking my calls. After the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's interview with Oprah Winfrey,
00:19Buckingham Palace has finally released a statement on behalf of the Queen which read
00:24the whole family is saddened to learn the full extent of how challenging the last few years have
00:29been for Harry and Meghan. The issues raised, particularly that of race, are concerning.
00:34While some correct elections may vary, they are taken very seriously and will be addressed by the
00:39family privately. Harry, Meghan and Archie will always be much loved family members. Brandy, I think
00:45it's clear that the royal family want to deal with this first and foremost as a family but what's the
00:51reaction being like in the U.S.? There was such a big anticipation after everybody watched the
00:55interview in the U.S. about what people in the U.K. were going to think about it and also
01:00what the
01:01royal family was going to say in response and there's been this waiting game and I felt like
01:06when I heard the statement it felt like it wasn't enough and that's kind of what I'm seeing on social
01:12media too from people in the U.S. People want it more from the royal family and for them to
01:17really
01:17respond to the things that Meghan said specifically about you know the claims about racism and
01:22discrimination. So I'm really curious if any of the royal family has been spotted out and about
01:28in the U.K. since the interview. Well today we've had the the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of
01:34Cornwall
01:34have had engagements in London and the Prince was asked by a reporter if he'd seen the interview
01:40to which he gave a nervous chuckle and declined to comment but I think the statement echoes previous
01:47sentiments by the Queen about Harry, Meghan and Archie being much loved members of the family.
01:52And while we're not expecting any further public comments do we think that this story is far from
01:59over? I absolutely don't think this is going to be the last that we're going to hear about this story.
02:03Americans are blowing up social media right now saying you know where's the rest? Are more
02:07paragraphs coming and you know from the the royal family? Are we going to hear more from them? So I
02:12think that this is actually just the the first part of this discussion is going to be interesting to see
