00:00Hi there, it's Lorraine here and today I was just going to talk to you about things sort of getting
00:06back to normal
00:07and how it's okay to feel a little bit anxious about that.
00:12It was really interesting. On my show earlier on this week, we ran a poll to say,
00:17are you feeling excited about the fact that, you know, we can see friends and we can,
00:22slowly the rules are relaxing a little bit or are you feeling a wee bit anxious?
00:26And interestingly, over half of you said that you were actually feeling a little bit apprehensive
00:33and I just wanted to say that that is totally understandable.
00:37If you think back to this time last year, we were all getting used to being in lockdown
00:42and adjusting to this new way of life and it was quite scary and it was quite challenging for all
00:49of us.
00:50But we did it and now I guess it's kind of the reverse of that.
00:55So, of course, I'm really looking forward to being able to see a few of my friends outside,
01:01you know, seeing them for a walk, maybe take our dogs for a walk or just get up for a
01:05coffee,
01:05all these little things that mean such a lot, don't they?
01:09But, you know, there's part of me that's a little bit worried about getting on public transport
01:12or being in a big gathering, yeah, we're all going to have to sort of relearn our social skills,
01:19which seems strange, but it's true.
01:21I mean, at least I've been lucky enough to be able to go to work every day
01:24and I'm seeing some of my team, obviously not all of them, you know, numbers are very much kept down.
01:30But, yeah, as we, you know, as we get guests in, as things start to open up again,
01:35it's going to be great, but just bear in mind it's OK to feel a little bit anxious about it.
01:42That's perfectly normal.
01:44And here's to better days.
01:46We'll see you next time.
