00:08Mohamed Najri Razali, the 69-year-old brother-in-law of victim Sheikh Mohamed Firdaus Sheikh Yahya,
00:14told Sinar Harian that the family is still in shock
00:17and wants every aspect of the case thoroughly investigated.
00:22The victims were on holiday in Kuala Lumpur,
00:25waiting on the road divider near the Jalan Sultan Ismail traffic light junction,
00:30when the immigration department lorry lost control and struck them.
00:35Sheikh Mohamed Firdaus and his daughters, 25-year-old Siti Noor Sazlin
00:39and 12-year-old Siti Darwisha Aouni, died at the scene.
00:43His wife, Noor Hayati Razali, 55, was seriously injured and taken to Kuala Lumpur Hospital.
00:51Mohamed Najri said the family learned of the tragedy through a phone call at around 7 a.m.
00:56and were initially told only two relatives had died before learning it was three.
01:03He also said the family struggled to get information in the immediate aftermath
01:07as some of the victim's belongings, including wallets, car keys and bank cards, could not be found.
01:15Noor Hayati has since regained consciousness and is in stable condition in the ICU.
01:20The family hopes she can be transferred closer to home to Raja Permaisuri Bainun Hospital
01:26in Ipoh or Teluk Intan Hospital, pending her condition and hospital approval.
